TRIVIA BUT NICE INFORMATION

BAD NEWS

AT&T provided some information on the internet recently ... DON'T EVER DIAL THE AREA CODE 809 (284 and 876 also) in response to any message left on your phone. The message attempts to tell you about a serious accident or injury of a family member, you've won a great prize, or other incident. If you return the call, you are charged $2,425.00 PER MINUTE for the call, and you might just hear a long recorded message to run up the charges. The 809 area code is located in the Dominican Republic and its a phone scam. If you try to complain to the phone company about the charge, they say YOU made the call and verify the number of minutes used.

AT&T verifies the information at: http://www.att.com/gen/press-room?pid=6045

GOOD NEWS

Now for some better ideas:

There's a website to find good deals on things: http://slickdeals.net

If you like the excitement of auctions and bidding, there's a new website where you bid the LOWEST price and win, instead of the highest price. Visit: www.winnit.com and check it out.

I'll check out the website; I thought you didn't "bid"!
